Series 6 - London: The Carnival

The Notting Hill Carnival has been happening since 1964. The Carnival now attracts close to two million people, making it the second largest street festival in the world, after the Rio Carnival. Some argue that the size nowadays has made the event too crowded to enjoy, and the policing too rigid to be able to freely move around. Long gone are the days where stages were erected and bands played. Now only the floats and sounds systems are left to knock out the beats and bass to reverberate one’s diaphragm.
